(OKH) Major Svedala joined the attack on Liege at 12:06 from the Sprimont-Liege FB. Together with other panzers the small column rushed for the city of Liege and joined up with the forward troops who already secured the east side and the battle for the bridges raged. Svedala headed for the southwest side with his trusty PzKpfw 38(t). Infantry on the site reported that french troops tried to flank with a laffly and tanks to gain hold of the steep hil, supported by several french fmb:s in the river providing fire support. After a short battle the first infantry controlled the steep hill and the panzers could move on the west bridge while Svedala headed to the east armybase to support the bunkerguards.
The lonely panzer supported by infantry went south and took the bridge over to the west side, while a laffly, smoking, drove like a madman over the bridge passing just a meter from the panzer, a few fireburst accompied the laffly into the small forest south of the docks where it finally was caught up by infantry and destroyed.
The panzer continued the search for enemy infatry and their base on the western bank and managed to dispose of all opposition. Once it was cleared they rushed to support the troops that worked on locking down the west armybase.
The west armybase was a chaotic field of battle with burning hulks and dead bodies everywhere. Slowly the panzers moved in, meter by meter not cutting their engines and keeping the machinguns blazing while infantry secured ahead. While the bunker was beeing captured the panzers gained total control of the enemy held barracks and garage and the soon the axis banner was hoisted over the last armybase of Liege.
The battle continued and a small detachment of panzers and atg:s didn't stop to rearm, they continued west up the hill to secure it and provide cover for the fb busters. While Major Svedala reported five kills, a emfb and daimler included, Kommandeur GreatOne reported that during his two hour long sortie he had killed and destroyed over 40 enemy units
